Katipō is a spider in the same family as the American black widow, and is native to New Zealand. The male variant (white and colored different) looks so pleasing to the eye in my opinion...

I would like to experiment with non-human features, so giving him spider legs along his more human looking legs! Since it isn't as common as people think for black widows to eat their spouses, Katipō just has an irrational fear of it happening. He is going to be fairly paranoid and fearful.
